Liebster Award and TPT Cyber Sale!

Today is a great day!  First, after more than a few hours in the “office” today, I am almost completely done with Trimester 1 report cards!  Second, TPT’s Cyber Monday Sale starts tomorrow (and yes, my items are 28% off!).  And last but not least, I was nominated for the Liebster Award by Where the Wild Things Learn! (Don’t you just love her blog name?)

So what is the Liebster Award?

The Liebster Award is given by bloggers to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers.  It is to show new bloggers that they are appreciated and to help spread the word about new blogs.

11 Random Things About Me

I can’t stand moths. Shudder.

If my salad touches any other food on my plate, I won’t eat it.

I played the violin for 14 years and quit the minute I went to college.

I was the vice-president of my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta.

I love survival stories, and especially the show “I shouldn’t be Alive”.

I would love to write a novel one day.

The Outlander series is my guilty reading pleasure.

I play Christmas music 24/7 during the holidays.

I will be finished with my Master’s degree in January!

I life in Idaho, but would rather live by the ocean.

I met my boyfriend online, and we’ve been together for 4 years.

Questions from Where the Wild Things Learn with my answers:

1.) When did you know you wanted to be a teacher? I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was old enough to know what a teacher was, but it was when I met Mrs. Coleman in fourth grade that I knew for sure!

2.) What's your favorite holiday tradition? Growing up, my family always spent Christmas Eve going out to an amazing restaurant, and then driving around looking at Christmas lights.  I’m trying to get this tradition going with my own little family now-but my 2 year old isn’t really interested yet!

3.) What movie was made after your life? I wish I could say Sex and the City- because Carrie’s life writing and living in the big city seems so glamorous!  And let’s not forget the fashion!  And sometimes I imagine myself as Hilary Swank in Freedom Writers, making a difference in the face of adversity!  But as for my real life, I’m not so sure!

4.) If you had a day to do anything you wanted, what would you spend it doing? I would drop our daughter off at Grandma’s, and spend the day with Justin at a winery, and eating delicious food!

5.) What/who are the top 5 things in your life?

As far as priorities…?

Who: Justin (boyfriend), Mailee (our daughter), My parents

What: My job(s) , School (getting my degree)

6.) Fruity candy or chocolate? Easy! Chocolate!  Never really been in to fruity candy.

7.) Coke or Pepsi? Depends on which I can find a Diet Cherry flavor in wherever I may be at!

8.) If you were a millionaire, what would you do? To be honest, I’d probably leave my job in the classroom, but only to follow some bigger dreams and ideas I have for the field of education!  Then of course I’d pay off all my debt, buy us a beautiful home, and go on a long vacation to Bora Bora!

9.) What habit of others annoys you the most? Chewing/smacking gum; conversation monopolizers; excessive Facebook posters

10.) What's the craziest thing a student has ever said or done in your classroom? Technically it wasn’t my room, but last week in my teaching partner’s room, her student went berserk and completely tore the entire classroom apart because he was angry about something.

11.) What could you not live without in your classroom? My projector hooked to my computer!
